Failing successfully at IFLA WLIC 2016


IFLA-2016-Logo“Failing successfully in a librarian’s career: is a setback an opportunity to grow, or just an unwelcome incident on the road to success?” is the topic of discussion at open session of NPSIG at IFLA congress 2016. It is scheduled on 17th of August, 11.45-13.45 (Session 181). Mark in your calendars!

The session will include a presentation of the topic by the NPSIG, including comments gathered through a survey and social media before the conference. Attendees will be encouraged to participate in a discussion and to share own experiences or insights.

Two presentations of the NPSIG Open Session:

1. Learning from Adversity: Advice from Library Leaders
by Win Shih (University of Southern California, USA) and Jeannette Pierce (University of Missouri, United States).

2. The Information Professional: Failure or Success in Times of Crisis
by Jorge González (Universidad Central de Venezuela, Venezuela) and Evelyn Guerrero (Universidad Nacional Abierta, Venezuela).
