We are going to meet in the City of Hämeenlinna which is conveniently located 100 km north of Helsinki. The conference rooms of the Verkatehdas Arts & Congress Center will serve as location for IFLAcamp:

Public Transport in Hämeenlinna

Hämeenlinna is a small city. There are no long distances here. The Verkatehdas Arts & Congress Center is situated very close to the city centre of Hämeenlinna, about 0,5 km  from the Railway Station and Bus Station. Aulanko Kievari, the official IFLAcamp accommodation site, is located 5 km from the city centre of Hämeenlinna, and about 4 km from the congress center. For travelling to Aulanko you can use Hämeenlinna local busses number 2, 13 or 17. One way ticket for an adult costs 3,20 €. Travel Directions from the Tampere-Pirkkala Airport

The Tampere-Pirkkala Airport is located near Tampere, in the commune of Pirkkala, 17 km from Tampere city centre. The bus number 61 operates between the airport and city centre of Tampere. From the city centre of Tampere there is a train and also bus connection to Hämeenlinna. The Tampere-Hämeenlinna train fares start from 17,85 € for adults and 8,93 € for students*, and it is operated by VR – Finnish Railways. The trip takes about 40 minutes. The Tampere-Hämeenlinna bus fares are 12,30 € for adults and 9,10 € for students*, and it is operated by Matkahuolto. The trip takes about 1 hour.

The Helsinki-Vantaa Airport is located 20 km North of Helsinki. The bus number 615 operates between the airport and city centre of Helsinki. From the city centre of Helsinki there is a train and also bus connection to Hämeenlinna. The Helsinki-Hämeenlinna train fares start from 20,92 € for adults and 10,46 € for students*, and it is operated by VR – Finnish Railways. The trip takes about 1 hour. The Helsinki-Hämeenlinna bus fares are 16,50 € for adults and 9,10 € for students*, and it is operated by Matkahuolto. The trip takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Travel Directions from the Port of Helsinki

The Port of Helsinki is situated in the heart of the city. There are boat traffic services to Estonia, Sweden, Germany and Poland. Take the bus number 15A to the city centre of Helsinki. The ticket for adults costs 2,70 € or 2,20 €, if bought from the ticket machine. The trip takes about 15 minutes and the ticket is valid for one hour. Travel Directions from the Helsinki Central Railway Station

The Helsinki Central Railway Station has one daily international train connection between Helsinki and Moscow: The Russian Tolstoy; and two daily train connections between Helsinki and St. Petersburg: The Finnish Sibelius and the Russian Repin.
