NPs around the world

New Professionals are great networkers and community builders. This has already lead to a large number of groups for and by new librarians around the globe. We compiled a list of initiatives for you to get an overview on what is happening in different countries and areas of the world. If you know about a group that is not indicated here, please let us know via comment or email, so the list can be updated. Also check out the NPs around the world-twitter list which is a great resource to follow the day-to-day business of these groups!

  6. Hi – just letting you know that we are setting up a New Professionals Network in New Zealand! It has just been launched this week and we are in the process of defining the mission, aims, role, and purpose of this group – very exciting times. You can track our progress at our blog – http://newprofessionalsnz.wordpress.com/

I’m really looking forward to the process, and we may very well be in contact for advice and tips :) I’ve also linked to this page from the blog, and will also link through to the page with the free webinars – what a fantastic resource!

    Thank you very much,
    Abigail Willemse.

@”New Professionals are great networkers and community builders”:
I am wondering, do they ‘lose’ those skills when they are not “new” anymore, or do they simply stop caring after a while?

Seriously, NPs, please keep developing AND using those skills when you’re not so new anymore.
