This interesting session starts with Robin Kear and her presentation by Skype connection, as she could not make it to Boras. She gave many examples for opportunities for librarians to work internationally. Robin also explains her own involvement in international librarianship. The next presentation by Hella Klauser gave the full picture of how to become a global librarian. She also gave tips how to stay on as a global librarian. NPSIG chose the right theme to attract young professionals and show them more possibilities to stay on.

That was very inspiring presentation, about the idea on being global, and I like to share that with my colleagues next week. I hope that all librarians in Indonesia have the same goal and think globally.

Robin was the first conference speaker I got in touch with via skype, so I was very glad our connection ran smoothly that day. Some issues she raised during her talk such as networking, how to get involved in conferences, and how to become a global librarian are very vague categories and hard to describe. Therefore many thanks again to Robin for putting her experiences into words in such a comprehensible way!

To bad I missed the session, but I was busy delivering a presentation myself.
